Innovate Cambridge was delighted to be invited to and involved in Cambridge&’s ‘Thank you’ event

Innovate Cambridge was delighted to be invited to and involved in Cambridge&’s ‘Thank you’ event that they held at the Bradfield Centre on 23 February – an intentionally informal gathering of a wide range of supporters of the organisation from across the Greater Cambridge ecosystem. It was fantastic to have such a wealth of support, expertise and talent in the room across what their Director Harriet Fear describes as A, B and C: academia, business and the civic community (www.cambridgeand.com).

Cambridge&’s role is to showcase Greater Cambridge’s innovation to the world in a joined up way. With a razor sharp focus on 3 sectors – life sciences and healthcare, technology and advanced manufacturing. Their activity is working with large global companies (and Unicorns of the future) in helping them access the ecosystem, with a view to companies setting up here in a long term, sustainable way, collaborating with those already here in working together to address the challenges the world is facing.

Harriet is on our Steering Committee at Innovate Cambridge and Mike Anstey (who is a Partner at Cambridge Innovation Capital as well as a Director of Cambridge& and Founder of Innovate Cambridge) talked warmly from the podium at the event about the role of Innovate Cambridge.
